Christmas on the Island

I was lucky enough to be brought into the group that does several fundraisers a year for those affected by natural disasters, or otherwise less fortunate. For Christmas on the Island, I got to take pictures of kids with Santa when the families came to see him, and pick up gifts that were donated to them. It was one of the most rewarding days I have had, ever. While I can't share too many pictures I took that day, here are a few that I can...

Some of the fire trucks in the parade. Santa arrived later via helicopter!

Some of the books that were donated to be given out to the children after they visited with Santa.

Toby Turns One

Cake smashes are probably my favorite thing to photograph, you never know how the kids will react to the cake, and the messes are tons of fun!

Toby was no exception, he loved how the icing felt, and had a ton of fun, even if he barely ate any cake!

Margherita's Baptism

It didn't take long for me to love capturing baptisms/christenings. They are such a happy day for the whole family, and all of their friends. Take all of that love, add in a ceremony, and the unexpected reactions of a (often sleeping) baby getting water poured on their head, and how can you not enjoy it.

Margherita was a picture of beauty in her gown, and loved having her picture taken.
